Professor John Henry is a Professor of Communication Design at St. Clair County Community College. One of Professor Henry's recent honors was his selection as the featured artist at Port Huron's The Spiral Studio. During September 2010, his intarsia wood creations were exhibited at the gallery.

Art Competitions

LAND sponsors two annual art competitions which are open to students enrolled in Michigan's 28 community colleges.

• Illustration Competition
  For this competition, students create a design based on the LAND Conference theme. The theme for the Illustration Competition is "Celebrating Our Successes."

• Fine Arts Competition
  For this competition, students create a design based on a theme selected by the LAND Steering Committee. The theme for the Fine Arts Competition is "Sun and/or Moon."
